The PerformYou Team

  • Kiri Cyrelle Meulendyk (Kiri Langford)- Owner & Mental Performance Consultant (MPC)

Kiri grew up in the Blue Mountains Ontario, playing various sports (hockey, soccer, skiing, snowboarding, water sports, cross-country running, track, swimming, cross-country skiing, and basketball). Hockey quickly became her passion. Kiri was always a hard worker, leading her to play varsity hockey at York University and on the New Zealand National Women’s Hockey team. It wasn’t until she started working with a mental performance consultant that she learned how to become a smarter worker. She drastically improved in one season at York, moving from the 4th line to starting lineup and becoming a leader on this team.

With the New Zealand National Ice Hockey team, Kiri won Gold in 2011, Bronze in 2008 and was awarded team MVP in 2013. Unfortunately, shortly after her breakout season with York, she ran into concussion problems, ending her competitive hockey career. It was a challenging time, but she discovered a new role in how to still make an impact without being on the ice—rewarding her with The Lions Legacy award in her final year.

After Kiri’s BSc in Kinesiology, she completed a Masters at Limerick Institute of Technology in Strength & Conditioning in 2016. Shortly after that, in 2017, she started at Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO), working with provincial and National sports (softball, archery, equestrian, ice hockey, beach volleyball, freestyle ski, water polo, artistic swimming and wheelchair rugby).

In December 2021, Kiri finished her Human Kinetics Masters with a concentration in Intervention and Consultation at the University of Ottawa, becoming a Certified Mental Performance Constant (MPC).

  • Celine Yuvaz - Mental Performance Consultant (MPC)

Celine grew up in Milton, Ontario and grew a passion for sports from a very young age. Whether it was trying new sports, attending sporting events, or watching them at home with her family, sports became a huge part of her life. Celine loved to try new sports and activities but grew a particular interest in baseball and dance. When starting high school, she decided to challenge herself by becoming a competitive dancer at a local dance studio. Her years spent competitive dancing are some of her favourite and provided her with meaningful experiences that have led her to the role she has today.

As an eager and determined student, Celine completed her BA in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University and then her Masters in Human Kinetics with a Concentration in Intervention and Consultation at the University of Ottawa. Her academic journey has allowed her to study applied sport psychology and understand how to best apply evidence-based practices to working with individuals and teams. As a rep-level trained softball coach, Celine frequently utilizes her academic background in her coaching approach.

She works with all athletes, however, primarily in the sports of softball, hockey, gymnastics, artistic swimming, and dance. Upon completion of her exam, she will become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC).

Celine's athlete-centred approach focuses on building trust and collaborating with athletes to help them reach their potential and make the best of their experience in sports.
